Conferences

Every year the Academy of Management is the conference at which most papers on fit and fit-related matters are presented. There are usually so many fit papers at the conference that there is a separate session dedicated to fit. At other conferences the fit papers tend to be intermingled with papers on the related areas of commitment, satisfaction, staff turnover, employment relations, and recruitment and selection.

One benefit of the clustering of papers at the Academy of Management is that you get to meet people with similar interests. Also, the conference organisers have been very good at getting high quality reviewers of papers. As a result, submitting a paper, regardless of whether it is accepted or not, will get you some decent feedback from experts in the field.

The pages in this section of the web site contain details of forthcoming conferences and reviews of previous ones. In addition, we hope to include lists (in chronological running order) of all fit papers along with abstracts and, when the author gives permission, the full paper as well.
